Last week, we watched an excited basketball match in our school. It is between Grade 1 and Grade 2 students. During a match,the players from all teams played very hard. Grade 2 was a stronger team. However, for our surprise, Grade 1 won at last. The player jumped and hugged to celebrate their success. Just then, the players from the other team that approached and said “Congratulations!” to them.

They wore smiles on faces and you couldn’t tell from their expressions that they had lost the match. We were touching by the scene and felt what important a role sport plays in daily life.

Li Hua and I were neighbours and we went to same school. We always went to school together. We were good friend and had a great deal to share with every day. I often go to a weekend school. So did many of my classmates. This seems popular among students. Good weekend schools have excellent teachers which help us improve our studies. Besides, we get to know students from another schools and learn about their campus of life.

So every coin has two sides. Our school work is already a heavy burden. Extra lesson often take up too much of our time. In addition, pay lots of attention to the extra lessons will affect their school subjects. We may also find ourselves very tired on Monday to concentrate on the lessons in our own school. Last year, our city called on the citizens to sort and recycle rubbish, but I became a volunteer in my neighbourhood. After dinner, I got to the place that different rubbish should be thrown into different bin. Then came an old lady, carrying a bag of kitchen waste with plastic bottles in them. I was leaving the book store this afternoon when I saw a poor family— a mother and her four kid sitting in the cold, that brought back memories to my childhood. Neighborhood does help. Six years before, at the hottest day of the year, I saw man working on the grass at the bank next door. I didn’t know him, and I decided to do something kind.
